With a background in project formulation, structuring, and management, as well as a consultant, lecturer, and partner in family businesses in the agro-industrial sector.

Worked for 10 years at the commercial finance company Inversiones y Crédito INVERCREDITO SA, which belonged to the Santo Domingo group in Colombia. He began his professional career as a consumer credit analyst, rising in the company to office manager in Cali, regional manager for western Colombia, and finally as National Credit Director. In this role, he participated in the merger of two commercial finance companies, leading to the entity being absorbed by Banco Santander de Colombia, which was later acquired by Banco Santander of Spain.

Subsequently, he joined as Administrative and Financial Vice President of the Bolsa deOccidente for 10 years, where he also served as manager of the Guarantee Fund for brokers of the Bolsa de Occidente. He actively participated in the design and implementation of the trading system for this exchange, the structuring and operation of the Central Securities Depository of Colombia, and finally in integrating the Colombian Stock Exchange through the merger of the Bogotá, Medellín, and Occidente exchanges.

He served as social director at the Cali Chamber of Commerce, as manager for the promotion and construction of the Valle del Pacífico Event Center, and as manager of the Cali Chamber of Commerce. He has consulted for the Cenvoc Foundation in Buga and the Sarmiento Palau Foundation in Tuluá. Additionally, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Hospital Universitario del Valle and the Clínica Oftalmológica de Cali, and in the public sector as manager of the Financial Institute for Development of Valle “Infivalle”.
